To celebrate and support International Women’s Day this year, Emi Rowse (Igusa), partner and head of Japan practice, was invited to speak on a panel to discuss “Break the Bias in International Arbitration”, an event hosted by the THAC and supported by Arbitral Women.
During the panel discussion, the panelists engaged in a fruitful exchange of ideas and perspectives such as unconscious bias, gender disparity issues, challenges faced by female arbitrators, and initiatives that have already been done to promote diversity.
The other panelists were Dr. Vanina Sucharitkul, Waree Shinsirikul, , Dutsadee Dutsadeepanich, and the seminar was moderated by Robert Tang.
