On March 28, 2023, Emi Rowse (Igusa), , Partner and head of Japan practice at Kudun and Partners, was invited to speak as a guest lecturer on the topic of “Domestic and International Arbitration in Thailand” for the ASEAN Business and Investment Law Training Course at Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
The course is one of the subjects offered by the University for their LLM International Business Law Programme. During the lecture, Emi provided insights on the important aspects of domestic and international arbitration in Thailand, the different arbitral institutions in the country, the key provisions of the Thai Arbitration Act and considerations for foreign arbitrators and foreign counsel. The course was attended by both local and international students who are aspiring to become international business lawyers.
