Kongkoch Yongsavasdikul, partner and head of digital practice of the firm participated in a seminar under the topic ‘ESOP for Startups: Legal and Practice – How to legally and successfully attract and retain a talent pool’ organized by the Faculty of Law from Chulalongkorn University along with Chulalongkorn University Technology Center (UTC). Although the Employee Stock Option Program (ESOP) is not new, it remains one of the most interesting programs adopted by companies for employee retention. Other panelists include Dr. Poomsiri Dumrongvute, Vice Dean, Faculty of Law, Chulalongkorn University, and K. Phuvin Kongsawat, CEO of Easy Rice Technology Co., Ltd.
ESOP for Startups: Legal and Practice is an educational seminar for students and anyone interested to seek more information regarding the program. This seminar covered a wide range of knowledge on the ESOP, including: (1) what is ESOP; (2) the importance of the talent pool for Startups; (3) ways for startups to seek and retain the talent pool (4) pros and cons of the implementation (5) alternative options if the company or startup do not wish to implement ESOP.
