On International Women’s Day, Kudun and Partners launched a powerful initiative with the panel discussion, “Bridging the Gap: How Can We Accelerate Equal Representation in International Arbitration?” The event, resonating deeply with this year’s theme, “Accelerate Action,” convened distinguished legal experts to tackle the pressing issue of gender disparity in international arbitration.

The discussion was expertly led by Emi Rowse (Igusa), Partner and Head of the Japan Practice at Kudun and Partners. With her rich background in arbitration, Emi provided pivotal insights into the evolving demands for gender balance within the field. Joining her were esteemed panelists including Nicky Balani, Director of Arbitration and Mediation (International) at the Thailand Arbitration Center, and Prof. Dr. Nilubol Lertnuwat from Thammasat University’s Faculty of Law. Adding an international dimension, Kate Lan, Counsel at Carey Olsen Singapore LLP, shared compelling examples from Singapore and other offshore jurisdictions.
